INGREDIENTS (measuring cup used, 1 cup = 250 ml) · ½ cup maida or all purpose flour · 2 tblspn cocoa powder · ¼ tsp baking powder · ¼ cup ghee or butter at room temperature · ¼ cup powdered sugar or icing sugar or as required · ½ tsp vanilla essence · 3 tabelspoon chocolate chips INSTRUCTIONS 1. cream the ghee and powdered sugar with a hand held blender or in a food processor, the mixture should become smooth, light and creamy. 2. mix dry ingredients - maida or all purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. 3. Add flour mixture with creamy mixture. 4. Now add 2 tblspn chocolate chips and vanilla essence, mix well and make a soft dough. 5. pinch medium sized balls from the dough. 6. roll them evenly in your palms. 7. slightly flatten them. press chocolate chips on the top slightly.(from remaining Choco chips) 8. place the cookies in a baking tray. 9. keep some space between them as they expand while baking. 10. bake the cookies in a pre heated oven at 180 degrees C for 18-20 mins till light golden. 11. remove and place them on wire racks. 12. when cooled, store the choclate cookies in an air tight container. |
